the San Francisco 49ers are concerned, securing either the 1st or 2nd overall pick is just another indication of just how far the once proud franchise has fallen.For the second straight season, the 49ers have turned out to be perennial doormats with few truly promising young players. Brandon Lloyd seems to be a Pro Bowler in the making and Alex Smith may eventually develop into a top tier passer, but for the time being San Francisco seems far away from being able to contend. So they'll welcome in Houston on January 1st and play a game with only pride (and possibly the top draft pick) at stake.
